A lot of the Wiki online stuff is excellent, so I can always go there for advice, but there are disadvantages with online sources - not least of which is the fact that any Tom, ♥♥♥♥ or Harry can edit Wiki text, forum postings are notoriously suspect, ads really bug me, I might lose my online connection for some reason, and so on - so I still much prefer the official game guides for the professional quality and style of the info and for the beautiful way the info is presented.
I can't understand what their problem is: why the hell won't they allow non-US residents to get the eGuide download?!? I guess it's some sort of legal thing, but Prima don't have this problem - there's no difficulty getting their SimCity official guide download, for example. I'm about to confront BradyGames over this issue yet again, as well as the Penguin Group parent company in the US and DK in the UK, maybe even have a go at Firaxis, but I don't hold out much, if any, hope. Hopefully the paperback version will be available internationally one day soon so I can at least get that. Now that the Brave New World guide is out in the US I'm really screwed because at the moment, as far as I know, this guide is ONLY available as an eGuide. I can't buy anything other than the paperback version of their guides for Civ in the UK but I really want the eGuides.
